People Magazine Names 'We Are Marshall' Star As 'Hottest Bachelor'

Huntington, WV (HNN) – When Warner Bros. brought in the cast of “We Are Marshall” for shooting their scenes in Huntington and on the Marshall University campus, Matthew McConaughey (Jack Lengyel) generally generated the loudest cheers, as well as the most security.
People’s then Sexiest Man Alive had concerns about (at least in rumor) a bunch of female fans tackling the ‘coach.’ His ‘method acting’ actually convinced West Virginia’s chief executive to come back in a half an hour to present an award so McConaughey would not lose his persona in a scene near Hodges Hall.
Lengyel’s on-screen alter ego has just been crowned People’s one of the mags Single and Sizzling Men of 07. McConaughey made the cover. An on line preview states he is “renowned for his rakish smile, sparkling eyes and killer abs.
Among the other elite bachelors are: Jake Gyllenhaal, Chris (Fantastic Four) Evens, Maksim Chmrkovskiy, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Kenny Chesney, Blake Lewis, Adrian Grenier, Apolo Ohno, and Justin Timberlake.
The 37-year-old McConaughey told People he only needs “friends and family” to stay happy. And, on the why does he not wear a shirt question, “I love warm weather and summertime. What better way to enjoy it.”
He’s not afraid of gender equality either. During the filming of his surfing flick Down Under, he invited the female extras to join him in the pool shirtless. According to reports, all of the extras accepted his topless invitation.
