| OUT OF THE PAST: Marble Champions to Play at Keith Albee Theatre by Tony Rutherford Huntington (HNN) -- Carrying the same punch and thrills that have brought joy to the hearts and thousands of Huntington’s boys and girls, The Herald-Dispatch marble tournament will be presented in brief program form on the stage of the Keith Albee Theatre Thursday afternoon. (From H-D, June 12, 1933). The 30 school and district champions, selected this year will attend the program as guests of the theatre. The champions are to appear at the stage entrance between 10 and 11 o’clock Thursday morning to receive passes to the show. Huntington’s marble champion last year, will be shown in a number
of scenes to be flashed on the screen in a motion picture account of activities
filmed at the 1932 national marbles tournament in Ocean City, N.J. Too, the film will reveal what is in store for the boy who wins the final tournament next Friday afternoon in front of the Herald-Dispatch office on Fifth Avenue. For the first time, the thousands of Huntington boys and girls who have competed for the trip to Ocean City will have the opportunity of seeing what really goes on.
