Weekend First at HNN: Weekly Movie Comings and Goings

Huntington, WV (HNN) – New Mainstreamers … Depending on where you live, you will generally find only one “new” pic opening, Saw III. Some theatres have added “Flags Of Our Fathers.” Charleston/Huntington will show “Catch a Fire.”
SAW III : Saw started with several individuals waking up in a nearly empty room chained and having to solve a riddle to survive. In the second sequel, Jigsaw, the sadistic serial killer, manages to have a physician keep him alive while he trains an apprentice and puts a new victim through a grueling series of “tests.”
CATCH A FIRE: After Luke (Patrick Charmusso) is arrests for a crime he did not commit in South Africa, he is recruited for a dangerous mission that incites an old advocate , Nic Vos (Tim Robbins) to hunt him down. Directed by Phillip (“Clear and Present Danger,” “Bone Collector,” “The Saint,” “Patriot Games”) Noyce, the film has early buzz for major awards.

Facing the Giants: Reminiscent of “Pay It Forward,” a church shot this uplifting movie with one camera and a very low budget; still, under the “with God all things are possible” banner, a losing coach and an underdog Christian high school football team battle powerful opposition --- fear and failure. The Rocky Horror Picture Show – Although squirt guns, rice, lighters, and other projectiles are forbidden, you can brush up on your Time Warp dance and check out those character costumes. The long running and cult favorite continues a multiple weekend run at the Cinema with the shadow cast now accompanying the on screen action.
