Bluefield Union Mission Auxiliary Opens Second Chance Gift Shop

By Faith Phillips

Bluefield, WV (Special to BNN) -- Volunteers from the Bluefield Union Mission's Women's Auxiliary recently opened a gift shop called The Second Chance - A Shop of Unique Findings. The name is a double-entendre, meaning a second chance for the items donated to be sold, with proceeds going to help give people a second chance in life.

The proceeds are targeted at the Mission's Renewal Project, a program started 25 years ago with the help of the late Judge William Bivens to assist people in the criminal justice system.

The shop is located in the West Virginia Manor's Commerce Street entrance. For more information call 327-8167.
