Bradshaw CUSA Offensive Player of the Week

Memphis, TN (HNN)-- Conference USA on Oct. 23,
2006 released their weekly conference Players of the
Week. The following is the list of winners, including
Marshall's junior running back Ahmad Bradshaw from
Graham High School in Bluefield VA.
OFFENSE
Ahmad Bradshaw, Jr., RB, Marshall
Bradshaw rushed for a career-high 242 yards and two
touchdowns on 25 carries to lead Marshall to a 31-24
win at UAB Saturday. Bradshaw's rushing total is the
third highest recorded by a player at MU and the first
200+ yard rushing performance since Chris Parker in
1993. Bradshaw scored on runs of 26 and 67 yards. The
Marshall standout compiled 174 yards on 11 carries
with the two scores in the first half alone. Bradshaw
averaged 9.7 yards per carry and led a Marshall
rushing attack that accumulated 317 yards for the
game.
DEFENSE
Marquay Love, Senior, Nose Tackle, Houston
Trailing 17-10 at the half, the Houston defense shut
down UTEP's offense in the second half, led by senior
nose tackle Marquay Love. Love finished with a
team-high seven tackles, including three for losses
and one sack. The Cougar defense held the Miners to
zero points and just 33 yards of total offense on 17
plays in the second half.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Ben Bell, Sophomore, Kicker, Houston
Bell nailed a career-best 42-yard field goal as well
as a 35-yard attempt, and was perfect on all four of
his extra point attempts in helping the Cougars snap a
three-game losing streak with a 34-17 win over UTEP.
Bell has now converted 41 straight PATs dating back to
last season and is a perfect 28-for-28 this season.
