Marshall Men's Golf Completes Day Two of USF Invitational
Miller and Boggs step-up for the Thundering Herd

Dade City, FL (HNN) -- Marshall men’s golf’s Bosten Miller (So., Charleston, W.Va., Capital H.S.) and Aaron Boggs (RS-Fr., Madison, W.Va., Scott H.S.) combined for a 10 stroke improvement on day two of the USF Invitational in Dade City, Fla. at Lake Jovita Golf Club on Saturday afternoon, March 6, 2010.
The Thundering Herd was led in round two by the play of Miller, who shot a team-low 73 on day two. Miller posted a 77 in day one and joins Nathan Kerns (Fr., Ironton., Ohio, Ironton H.S.) at six-over-par at the conclusion of day two.
Boggs improved six strokes from round one as he went five-over-par on Saturday and heads into the third and final round with a score of 160 (83-87).
Carson Schambach (So., Glen Dale, W.Va., John Marshall H.S.) dropped one stroke to move to 17-under-par through two rounds of play.
Marshall stands in 23rd place, six strokes behind the 22nd Austin Peay State.
Florida Southern College climbed one spot to first place at seven-under-par, with Middle Tennessee State five stokes behind with one round to go.
Florida Southern’s Matt Stauch took a commanding lead in round two as he enters day three at 11-under-par, with a six stroke lead on second place.
Sunday marks the final round of play, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
