Herd Soccer Wins Two of Three Matches in North Carolina
Boateng nets two goals in win against Leen McCray

Clemmons, NC (HNN) – The Marshall University men’s soccer team began its spring competition by winning two of three matches as the Herd defeated Gardner-Webb, 2-0, and Leen McCray, 4-1.
 
Sammy Boateng netted two goals against Leen McCray on Marshall’s way to its second victory of the day. Bartosz Warchza and Zach Hunter also found the back of the net for the Herd.
 
In MU’s first win on Saturday, All-Freshman Conference USA selection Tom Jackson and newly acquired Peter Boulet tallied goals for the Herd on its way to a 2-1 victory.
 
Marshall lost to Gardner-Webb 2-0 to round out the day.
 
MU continues its spring play on April 2nd when it plays the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer. The game will be played in Columbus, OH.
