Gasoline Prices Continue Downward Trend

Hinton, WV (HNN) – Gasoline prices continued to move downward in Hinton, on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, with most stations charging $2.59 for a gallon of unleaded regular. This reflects a statewide trend of lower gasoline prices.
 
Last week, gasoline was $2.85 at Go Mart, the largest station in town, and most of the other stations were at $2.99.
 
Checking with http://www.westvirginiagasprices.com I found that the lowest price statewide was $2.47 in Weston and $2.48 and $2.49 per gallon in Morgantown. Charles Town had $2.79 a gallon gasoline, while Parkersburg was $2.77 at Speedway. Across the river in Marietta, OH, Speedway was selling unleaded regular for $2.75. Speedway in Barboursville had gasoline at $2.80 a gallon. The TA Travel Center in Teays Valley has unleaded regular at $2.65 per gallon.
 
Charleston area gasoline prices ranged widely from a high of $3.09 at Cargo in Charleston to a low of $2.54 at Go Mart in St. Albans, according a Charleston gasoline price internet site. The Exxon station in Kanawha City was selling unleaded regular for $2.89 gallon. Check out http://www.charlestongasprices.com for gas prices in the capital city.
