Gasoline Prices Continue Downward Trend

Hinton, WV (HNN) – Gasoline prices stayed the same in Hinton, on Monday, Oct. 25, 2005, with most stations charging $2.59 for a gallon of unleaded regular, the same as this time last week The Exxon station in Bellepoint was charging $2.79 a gallon. Isolated Hinton has prices lower than Huntington, next door to a cluster of refineries.
 
On Monday, Huntington gasoline was $2.79 a gallon at most stations, the highest in the state. The Rich Oil station near Camden Park was $2.68 a gallon. Stations in Ceredo and Kenova were typically charging $2.65 a gallon. The Speedway in Barboursville had gasoline at $2.68 a gallon.
 
Checking with http://www.westvirginiagasprices.com I found that the lowest prices statewide was $2.29 at Sheetz in Martinsburg and $2.36 at Dairy Mart in Morgantown. The Dairy Mart in Elkins was charging $2.37 a gallon, while the Exxon station in Elkins was charging $2.60.
 
Charleston area gasoline prices were mostly in the $2.53 and $2.54 a gallon range, with the lowest price $2.52 a gallon at the Citgo in Teays Valley. The Go Mart in St. Albans had gas at $2.53, according a Charleston gasoline price internet site. The Exxon station at Greenbrier and Washington was selling regular for $2.68 a gallon, about 20 cents cheaper than last week.
