GASOLINE SURVEY: Prices Trend Downward in Most Parts of WV

Hinton, WV (HNN) – Gasoline prices in Hinton dropped to $2.95 a gallon on Thursday, June 14, 2007, from last week's $3.04 a gallon at Cargo and Pit Row on the Bypass, and Go Mart on Stokes Drive. The price point was $2.99 a gallon at Jarrell's Exxon and Chevron Foodmart.
Statewide, the lowest observed price on June 14, 2007 was $2.86 a gallon at KO and Go Mart on U.S. 460 in Green Valley, between Bluefield and Princeton, according to http://www.westvirginiagasprices.com.
On June 14, 2007 gasoline was $2.86 at Blueflash on Hy. 20 in Princeton; $2.88 at Sunoco in Moorefield; $2.89 at Finishline in Parkersburg; $2.94 at Rich Oil, Sunoco and Go Mart in Huntington; $2.95 at Speedway in Huntington; $2.96 at Kroger and Citgo in Barboursville; $2.99 at Chevron, Exxon and Marathon in Huntington; $3.05 at Chevron in Spring Hill; $3.09 at Speedway in Glen Dale and $3.09 at Exxon in Moundsville.
In the Charleston area, on June 14, 2007, gasoline was $2.95 at Go Mart in Institute; $2.95 at Rich Oil in Jefferson and $2.95 at Go Mart in St. Albans, according to http://www.charlestongasprices.com. Other June 14 capital area prices: $2.95 Chevron in South Charleston; $3.10 at Exxon in central Charleston; $3.10 at Speedway and Exxon in South Charleston; and $3.10 at 7-Eleven in central Charleston.
All prices are for the lowest -- generally 87 octane -- grade of regular unleaded gasoline, with the .9 omitted.
