Blennerhassett Bridge to Open June 13

Charleston, WV (HNN) — Governor Joe Manchin, Transportation Secretary Paul Mattox, and other West Virginia officials, along with Ohio Governor Ted Strickland and other Ohio officials, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the Blennerhassett Bridge over the Ohio River on June 13, 2008 in Parkersburg.
 
For the West Virginia Department of Transportation, this event will not only celebrate the opening of the bridge, it will also mark the completion of Appalachian Corridor D along US Route 50 from Clarksburg to the Ohio State Line in Wood County.
 
The ceremony will be held on the bridge at 1:30 in the afternoon. Representatives from WVDOT and ODOT will be in attendance to assist with parking, which will be available at the site.
